The blazing sun was burning up the earth, on the vast expansive plains, the grass and plants were moving gently in the wind. Between earth and sky, it was as if they were only in two colors, the color of blue water on the above and down was the color of lush green.

 

The train galloped through the hill, the train’s whistle roared, breaking the silence.  

 

This was the second day that the task force came to Burma.

 

Upon arrival in Yangon the capital of Myanmar yesterday, the officials from both sides, China and Myanmar had a meeting. China’s purpose was not only to arrest “Brother Lu” but wipe out the entire cross-border criminals under her control. So today the team was going to Kachin state by train, the place with a high possibility that “brother Lu’s” criminals gang might be stationed.

 “If you go to Burma, look out for the “golden python”. This is what Ye Zi Xiao’s words were to Xu Xu.

Golden Python is a huge Burmese python. Its body is large with colorful patterns, its ferocious, and poisonous.

Xu Xu believed that from the wording and sentence placement, it referred to the “golden python”, but only hinted to be prepared and gave no explicit guidance; basically had a certain level of credibility.

Of course, gold python may also be a code for someone or some organization. But due to the lack of information between China and Burma, Xu Xu couldn’t find anything after she searched the police’s database.

This is actually the novel that I read before When a Snail loves by Ding Mo. The reason why I picked When a Snail Loves instead of When He comes, Close Your Eyes is because I like the female lead in WASL a tad better. I’m not saying Yao Yao in WHCCYE is not a great but I guess Xu Xu is just more of my preference.

Xu Xu raised her eyes to look at her brother.

There weren’t any recent NBA matches so many of the biggest stars had come to China, Xu Xu also heard that basketball superstar named James was coming to Lin city. Her brother obviously knew that she wasn’t interested in this sport, but today he wanted to give her tickets, so it was apparent that he was trying to get her to let Ji Bai make an appearance.

That was really childish.

The first day of vacation.

Under the fresh night and soft starlight, Ji Bai was relaxingly sitting on his balcony in his house and sipped the fragrant tea then took out his cell phone to call Zhao Han.

“Boss, what’s wrong?” Zhao received his call, ready for combat by habit.

Ji Bai: “Nothing, just wanted to find time to eat with you within these two days.”

“Well..” Zhao Han relaxed his tone: “How about tomorrow?”

Ji Bai: “What about the day after tomorrow?”

Early in the morning, with a gloomy sky and chilly air, Xu Xu was driving on the empty road.

Yesterday Ji Bai said the morning exercise would resume a few days later. She thought that she would be able to rest comfortably. Surprisingly, after the case ended, the biological clock on routine, once again, she automatically opened her eyes at five this morning, wide awake.
